The Pakistan Games Collective (PGC) is officially live! 🚀

Born out of a passion for games, collaboration, and innovation, PGC isn’t just another community—it’s a movement built on realness, heart, adventure, and ultimate squad goals.

At its core, PGC aims to celebrate the creative minds behind every pixel, to learn collectively, and to boldly explore uncharted gaming territories. Whether you’re a solo developer burning midnight oil, an artist sketching vibrant pixel dreams, a gameplay designer decoding complex puzzles, or simply someone who cherishes the magic of games—PGC is your new home.

Pakistan’s gaming ecosystem is thriving, with revenue in the animation, gaming, and graphics sector skyrocketing from $108 million to $300 million in just two years—a remarkable 180% growth! Pakistan now ranks as the second fastest-growing games market globally, outpacing countries like India with a 21.9% CAGR. Moreover, 85% of this revenue comes from exports, highlighting our country’s powerful international presence.

The journey to build this vibrant ecosystem began when three passionate industry veterans—Yaser Awan, Hamza Majeed, and Ali Ahmad —came together, committed to nurturing and elevating Pakistan’s gaming scene. They’re not just continuing a legacy; they’re amplifying it, building upon foundational efforts like Mindstorm Labs’ successful initiatives that have trained over 6000 students, hosted major game jams, and supported numerous indie studios.

Meet the Founders:

Yaser Awan – The Guildmaster

Yaser isn’t just part of Pakistan’s gaming scene—he helped shape it. Known for launching impactful platforms, mentoring startups, and fostering community growth nationwide, Yaser now directs his unmatched experience toward ensuring no game developer in Pakistan ever quests alone. As the Guildmaster, he’s dedicated to forging connections, facilitating growth, and propelling this collective beyond individual success stories toward something much greater.

Hamza Majeed – The Creative Conjurer

A storyteller at heart, Hamza has crafted narratives across interactive mediums, from Bridges Interactive to cultural initiatives like Artache. His design vision has defined and redefined games, embedding purpose, pixels, and people into meaningful narratives. Today, he channels this creative force into PGC, driven by passion, innovation, and perhaps a few late-night chicken sandwiches, inspiring bold new adventures in game design.

Ali Ahmad – The Head Sorcerer

Ali is the steady hand behind the scenes, bringing structure and purpose to PGC’s vibrant chaos. With experience nurturing startups at Pixel Ore and empowering youth creativity at Tinker Gang, Ali firmly believes great creations emerge when communities are supported, seen, and trusted. As Head Sorcerer, Ali ensures every developer within PGC finds the space, tools, and community necessary to thrive.

PGC is more than an initiative—it’s a rallying cry. To all game makers in Pakistan: The “scene” isn’t something we’re waiting for—it’s something we’re building, together.
